Gaming center set to open in Delphi | WLFI - Delphi, Indiana
DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) - Delphi will soon be home to a new gaming center where kids can safely hang out.
Elite Gaming Center will be opening its doors Wednesday on the downtown square. Co-owners Cole Stonebraker and Kyle Woods said they wanted to create a fun, gaming environment.
?? ?
Stonebraker said he hopes the center will keep kids away from crime and out of trouble by providing them with a fun place to go. He said he also hopes the center will attract kids from neighboring communities like Rossville, Flora, and Logansport.
?? ?
He just wants to create an environment where kids can come together and build friendships.
"Sometimes the kids that play video games, they sit at home and they don't go out and socialize, so we want them to know that this is a place for gamers. They can come in here and meet some new friends," Stonebraker said.
Stonebraker said Elite is open to kids in the 6th grade and older. Younger kids are welcome as long as they have an adult with them. He said kids who want to play the more mature games will have to have their parents' permission.
